Friendships built on the field of athletic strife are the real gold of competition.
— Jesse Owens

USA Fencing is proud to host the 2020 Junior and Cadet World Championships in the United States for the first time since 2000. The event showcases the best and brightest young fencers in the world while promoting the ideals of sportsmanship, fair play and respect for all athletes.

Please consider supporting the event as we welcome the world fencing community to the United States and engage new and existing fans.

While success on the world’s stage is something all competitors at the Junior and Cadet World Championships aim for, the athletes competing in Salt Lake also will have the opportunity to learn valuable life lessons as they build relationships with fencers from different cultures and countries. These friendships can last a lifetime and are rare opportunities in which young people can share their experiences with fellow fencers from countries they may never have traveled to, but they all share the common love of their sport.

Your gift also will support outreach programs as we work with schools and community organizations to introduce fencing to underserved populations, providing tickets to see these amazing young athletes in action live and provide support for Team USA, conducting demonstrations to encourage participation through local clubs  and more initiatives throughout the regional area.
